The Kingpins Edition 2025

AGI Denim’s participation across the 2025 Kingpins editions marked a defining year for innovation, craftsmanship and responsible progress. From New York to Amsterdam, each showcase demonstrated the company’s commitment to combining authentic denim heritage with future-focused technologies, sustainable materials and collaborative creativity.

Kingpins New York — January 2025

Soft Serve Debut
At the January edition of Kingpins New York, AGI Denim presented Soft Serve, a new denim platform centered on comfort and sensory experience. Soft Serve explored the balance between denim’s rugged authenticity and its familiar broken-in softness.

The line introduced a range of drape options, from liquid fluidity to more compact, soft-surface constructions. It included 100% cotton fabrics as well as stretch options in shades from dark indigo to bright and light tones. Select articles featured cellulosic fibers such as TENCEL™ Lyocell and ECOVERO™. Weights ranged from 8.5 to 13.5 ounces, offering both fashion and core options suitable for multiple seasons and silhouettes.

Soft Serve stemmed from advancements in AGI Denim’s processes, including Soft-Tech technology, fiber selection and fabric finishing. The collection’s emphasis on tactile performance and sensory comfort underscored AGI Denim’s broader interest in elevating denim’s material experience.

Kingpins Amsterdam — Relaunch of TOMORROWLAB

At the Amsterdam edition, AGI Denim relaunched TOMORROWLAB, its innovation platform dedicated to advanced textile technologies, circular design and sustainability-focused partnerships. The updated platform highlighted future-facing solutions developed through research, collaboration and experimentation.

Alongside TOMORROWLAB, AGI Denim showcased a curated Creative Collection at The Agency by AGI Denim, a space focused on inspiration, collaboration and artistic expression. These presentations reinforced the idea that denim development benefits from multidisciplinary thinking and creative exchange.

Kingpins New York — July 2025

TOMORROWLAB and Algae Alchemy
AGI Denim returned to Kingpins New York in July 2025 to present the latest iteration of TOMORROWLAB. The showcase highlighted evolving innovations and fostered dialogue around responsible material development and design.

In parallel, the Algae Alchemy collection, developed in collaboration with Living Ink, was exhibited through a standalone installation at Kingpins’ The Boxes. The installation emphasized circular design principles and nature-derived color solutions, reflecting the role of bio-based innovation in denim’s future.

Kingpins Amsterdam — October 2025

The Chip-off and Fiber Innovation
At the October edition in Amsterdam, AGI Denim unveiled The Chip-off: Sharper Hi’s. Deeper Lows., a collection based on the company’s proprietary Chip-off Technology. The innovation enhanced denim’s natural fading behavior to create more pronounced contrast while improving process efficiency and responsible resource use.

AGI Denim also spotlighted Lenzing’s TENCEL™ Lyocell HV100 fiber, known for mirroring nature’s irregularities and combining softness with the authentic visual character of cotton. Together, the presentations demonstrated a continued focus on fiber innovation, technical excellence and responsible material sourcing.
