Kingpins New York 2026

Kingpins New York 2026 once again brought together the global denim community for two days of product innovation, creative collaboration and industry dialogue.

Held on July 22-23, the show created a platform where mills, brands, designers and innovators came together to exchange ideas, explore emerging directions and collectively shape the future of denim.

This season, AGI Denim presented a collection centered on responsible innovation, thoughtful product development and craftsmanship, while contributing to one of the show’s most collaborative installations, the Denim Community Carpet.

Purposeful Innovation Through Product

At the heart of AGI Denim’s presentation was The Wellness Edit: Denim for Living Well, a collection developed around comfort, performance, nature and authentic denim character.

The collection explored how modern denim can respond to evolving consumer expectations through intentional material choices, wearable functionality and responsible innovation.

Structured across four categories, COCOON, GROUNDED, ESSENTIALS and BEAUTY BOOST, The Wellness Edit presented different perspectives on wellness through softness, breathability, durability, comfort and enhanced performance while remaining true to the character of denim.

Together, the collection reflected a growing shift toward products designed not only to perform, but also to support how people want to live, move and feel.

Denim Community Carpet: Circularity Woven by Hand

Alongside the collection, AGI Denim proudly participated in Kingpins’ Denim Community Carpet, a collaborative installation that transformed denim waste into a shared work of art.

Created by Sarab for Kingpins and handwoven by Brooklyn-based fiber artist Mahmood, the installation brought together donated denim samples from mills across the industry to create a one-of-a-kind tapestry celebrating craftsmanship, collaboration and creative reuse.

For AGI Denim, contributing to the project reflected a belief that circularity extends beyond materials. It is equally about the people, skills and creativity that give those materials a new purpose.

Watching the carpet take shape offered a powerful reminder that every offcut carries potential. Through the rhythm of handweaving, discarded denim became a new narrative, demonstrating how craftsmanship can transform waste into something meaningful.

Conversations That Move the Industry Forward

Beyond the collections and installations, Kingpins New York continued to serve as a meeting point for meaningful conversations across the denim industry.

Discussions throughout the show explored responsible manufacturing, material innovation, circular design, creative collaboration and the evolving role of craftsmanship in shaping the future of denim.

The exchange of ideas between mills, brands, designers and partners reinforced the importance of working collectively to develop products that balance creativity, responsibility and commercial relevance.

Looking Ahead

As Kingpins New York 2026 came to a close, it left behind more than new collections and product innovations. It reinforced the value of collaboration, shared learning and the creative partnerships that continue to move the industry forward.

From purpose-driven product development through The Wellness Edit to the collaborative spirit of the Denim Community Carpet, the season reflected a future where innovation is measured not only by what we create, but also by how we create it together.

The conversations, connections and ideas shared in New York continue to inspire the next chapter of denim innovation.
