From Street Art to Gallery Walls

Max Zorn’s story is a testament to artistic innovation. Beginning in May 2011, he ingeniously transformed Amsterdam’s streetlamps into ephemeral art spaces using only brown packing tape and a scalpel. By layering and meticulously cutting the tape on acrylic glass, he creates striking images that reveal their depth and a warm, sepia-toned beauty when illuminated from behind. His signature backlit pieces often carry a cinematic quality, drawing inspiration from the atmosphere of film noir and the narratives of the Lost Generation writers.
