AGI Denim Receives Diamond Award for Disability Inclusion

AGI Denim has received the Diamond Award for Disability Inclusion from the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP), recognizing the company’s continued efforts to advance disability inclusion, workplace accessibility and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs).

The recognition reflects AGI Denim’s focus on building an inclusive workplace in Pakistan where individuals with different abilities have opportunities to contribute and develop professionally. Through skills-based recruitment, workplace support and inclusive communication initiatives, the company continues to strengthen disability inclusion across its manufacturing operations.

Advancing Inclusive Employment Through Project Parwaaz 2.0

A key part of this progress is Project Parwaaz 2.0, AGI Denim’s initiative focused on creating employment opportunities for Persons With Disabilities and supporting their integration into the workplace.

In 2025, technically trained PWDs were recruited across AGI Denim’s operations through a collaboration with NOWPDP. Candidates trained through NOWPDP’s specialized programs were connected with relevant employment opportunities, enabling them to apply their technical skills within a professional manufacturing environment.

The initiative strengthens AGI Denim’s approach to inclusive employment in Pakistan by connecting skills development with opportunities for meaningful participation in the workforce.

Strengthening Workplace Accessibility and Communication

Building a disability-inclusive workplace extends beyond recruitment. Effective communication and workplace support are also important in enabling employees to participate, collaborate and contribute across teams.

Alongside recruitment through Project Parwaaz 2.0, sign language training sessions were conducted to support communication between employees and their colleagues. These sessions helped build greater awareness of different communication needs while developing practical skills that support stronger workplace interaction and teamwork.

Together, these efforts contribute to greater workplace accessibility and inclusion while supporting the integration of Persons With Disabilities across AGI Denim’s operations.

Looking Ahead

The Diamond Award for Disability Inclusion marks an important milestone, but the work continues. AGI Denim aims to build on this progress by expanding Project Parwaaz and introducing further initiatives that create meaningful employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

As part of the next phase, plans are underway to expand the program in September, with an ambition to reach up to more individuals. This next step reflects our continued focus on creating pathways to employment, strengthening workplace accessibility, and building an environment where more people can contribute and grow.
