The revolutionary SMART Clinics by doctHERs has won 1st place in the TOMMY HILFIGER Social Innovation Challenge – a global initiative supporting entrepreneurial start-up and scale-up stage businesses, that are developing solutions with a positive social impact on the fashion value chain.
The award, according to designer Tommy Hilfiger, “is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on incredible ideas that could change the lives of people through a more positive and inclusive fashion landscape.”
With the SMART Clinics, AGI Denim team members have timely access to primary and secondary care without having to set foot off the premises – factory nurses connect patients to doctHERS remotely located GPs and Consultants via tele-medicine in real-time.
“We are very excited to launch our doctHERs SMART Clinics with AGI Denim” said Ahmed Javed, Director AGI Denim. “The wellbeing of our teams is a priority, and this intervention has been designed with our female factory workers in mind.”
The TOMMY HILFIGER Social Innovation Challenge award includes collaborations with INSEAD and The UN Foundation to scale doctHERS’ SMART Clinic and create SMART FACTORIES across the textile value-chain.
AGI Denim congratulates doctHERS and is proud to partner with teams that share our vision for driving innovation through sustainability.
